CONSTRUCTION OF VILLAGES IN RURAL MADAGACAR
The objectives of this actions are to contribute to the fight against poverty in Madagascar, reintegration into society through agriculture and the rearing of families in big trouble through Rural and Urban Rehabilitation.
The ASA project proposes to reintegrate families through agriculture, in the Bongolava region, Madagascar 200 km west of the capital Antananarive; the land necessary for this intervention is granted by the state. Each family is given: a house, 3 hectares of land, two zebu, a cart and a plow.
Every year, about twenty families are set in a new village; since 1997, a total of 16 villages have been founded.
To facilitate the successful reintegration Rural ASA has created a Antanety, an agricultural school and craftsmanship workhops with a three years turnaround. The site is located Ambatomirahavavy at Km 17 from the capital on the national road No. 1, on a surface of 17 hectares and has 4 units Service: Carpenter Company agricultural, Company with production of cheeses, Hotel, with the aim of raise funds for self-financing association.
At the end of these three years of training, the families move to the Bongolava Region where they begin to cultivate their land.
