BREATHE EARTH COLLECTIVE
Air is food, energy and one of the most endangered resources on Earth. More than anything else it connects every single being with the environmental and climatic conditions at any place on earth.
Breathe Earth Collective is a think- and do-tank aiming to research and generate solutions how to unite the built environment with the concept of nature. Recent projects, as the “Breathe Austria” Pavilion for the EXPO 2015 in Milan and the “Airship - cultural forest” installation in 2016 are showcasing our thinking. Citizens of all ages could experience a rich sensual refreshment within the micro-forest in Milan, Padua, Milan and Rome, while discussing serious urban problems like urban heat islands, air pollution and climate change.
Currently our team is looking for further implementations of our climate-positive installations (both temporary and long-term) to actively contribute to local knowledge and helps developing strategies on how to adapt cities and the built environment towards a resilient and sustainable future. The Breathe Earth Collective can offer scientific knowledge as well as building and design experience, to enhance public life and participative working on projects of different scales. We strongly believe that the implementation of our ideas and knowledge could help in transforming our cities to more healthy places in the future, for both the climate and the local social communities.
